As a highly experienced manager Michael has developed strong skills in Project Management, Governance, Asset Management, Enterprise Risk Management, Safety, Business Planning, Business Process Improvement, and the interpretation and application of Legislation. Through this in-depth knowledge, Michael is well-positioned to liaise with Corporate and Government agencies co-ordinating seamless delivery of projects. Shahab is an experienced Civil Engineer with over 20 years of experience. His extensive experience and consultative approach have enabled Shahab to develop a specialty in creating cost-effective solutions to achieve client needs.
Shahab is experienced in Civil Construction, Commercial and Manufacturing Development, Residential Sub-Development, Engineering Design, and Road and Bridge construction. An experienced Principal Engineer with a strong demonstrated history of working in both State and Local Government, Shahab is skilled in AutoCAD, Construction Engineering, Cost Engineering, Project Management, Drainage, and Residential Design.
Peter Duncan, Director & Principal Engineer (New Zealand)

Peter Duncan is a qualified Civil and Structural Engineer specialising in Structural and Infrastructure Design as well as Project Planning and Water Management. Peter joined APEC Services in 2022 as a Director delivering services primarily in the area of structural engineering design and structural certification of buildings. Peter consults on earthquake recovery projects including the Canterbury Earthquake Sequence.
Peter’s experience comes from a career spanning 40 years which has included 8 years as a Senior Manager in Local Governments in New Zealand and Australia and another 8 consecutive years as Director and Project Manager at Ekert Management Group Pty Ltd. Peter has vast experience in major project work, leading multi-disciplinary teams, design and construction.Peter has experience with investigations of structure condition and failures, including vibration induced failure and collapse, and with earthquake and cyclone strengthening of historical structures. Repair and re-construction of buildings following Cyclone Yasi and the Christchurch earthquakes. Peter provides specialist advice to the Earthquake Commission in New Zealand, insurance companies and private residents.
